Happy Thanksgiving from Palmer Home!

December 6, 2019

Thanksgiving is a time of joyful celebration and a time of reflection. At Palmer Home, we have been blessed to care for more than 220 children this year, a record number, because of the dedication and generosity of people like you.

Watching the children who come into our care flourish into young adults is a remarkable experience. Recently, many have witnessed the God-given talents of Tryston and Milano. Milano has been blessed with the ability to sing and Tryston learned to play the piano, and it was a reminder of how Palmer Home transforms lives.

Seven years ago, these siblings arrived at Palmer Home from an unstable environment. They were isolated, unsure of where their next meal would come from, and unable to enjoy the freedom of “being kids.” They had no knowledge of Christ or the church.

Now, life looks very different for Tryston and Milano. One of the most significant changes they experienced upon arriving at Palmer Home was living in a Christian home and sharing dinner together as a family.

Because of your support Tryston and Milano sit down to eat with a loving family every night.

Tryston has grown into a sweet, kind-hearted young man with a faithful servant’s heart. He taught himself how to play several instruments and enjoys playing sports at his high school. Milano is genuine in every way and has a new-found confidence in her abilities. She is gifted musically but is also very creative and artistic.

Seeing them thrive is a reminder of the important mission here at Palmer Home, a mission you help us fulfill every day. For 124 years, Palmer Home has been privately funded and your gifts allow our children to thrive, not just during the holiday season, but every day of the year.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we sincerely hope you will enjoy spending this holiday with your family and friends – the loved ones who are near and dear to you. Tryston and Milano will.

Thanksgiving is a busy time at Palmer Home. Because of your continued help, we are able to meet more than just physical needs. We provide emotional healing, educational support, physical development, and spiritual growth to every child in our care.

It isn’t easy, but you make it possible. Your gifts show Tryston and Milano, and all of the children in our care, that God is always with them.

We are grateful to you. Together, we are changing lives every day.

Happy Thanksgiving from all at Palmer Home!
