The Chance to Just be a Kid

Several children from our Palmer Home campus recently enjoyed a visit to the Memphis Zoo. For many of these children, it was their first-ever trip to a zoo, offering them a chance to explore the animal kingdom while experiencing wonder, joy, and delight. This simple outing was more than just a fun day; it was a moment for them to experience something many of us take for granted—the chance to just be a kid.

In addition to this exciting zoo trip, Palmer Home children also had the opportunity to visit Magic Springs in Hot Springs, Arkansas. For many of the kids, it was their first time at an amusement park. With thrilling rides, water slides, and the excitement of the park’s atmosphere, the day was full of firsts and smiles. It allowed them to experience the joys of childhood in ways they hadn’t before, creating lasting memories and bonding with their peers.
