8th Annual Radiothon Hosted by SuperTalk Mississippi
Mississippi’s only statewide radio network, SuperTalk Mississippi, continues to make a positive impact on children in need with the 8th annual Radiothon benefitting Palmer Home for Children.
Many of us seek to make a lasting impact in this world and there are certainly many ways to do that if we remain focused and in step with God’s plans for our lives. At Palmer Home, our team works diligently to empower children in critical situations to reach their true potential by providing restorative environments that support healthy development and nurture resilience. However, we are only able to provide care to the children and families we serve because of God’s providence and meaningful partners like SuperTalk Mississippi.
Thursday, July 23rd, will mark the eighth year of this remarkable event. Listeners can tune in to SuperTalk Mississippi between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and hear personal testimonies directly from children, alumni, staff and supporters of Palmer Home. Radio guests will share about Palmer Home’s mission and history, vision for the future, and stories of impact over the duration of all four major SuperTalk shows- The Gallo Radio Show, The JT Show, Good Things and SportsTalk Mississippi.
“We look forward to working with SuperTalk Mississippi each summer,” said Drake Bassett, President and CEO, Palmer Home for Children. “Because we are a privately funded organization, we rely solely on our supporters to help us reach more children. Partners like SuperTalk allow us to not only raise needed funding, but raise awareness throughout the state.”
In 2013, SuperTalk Mississippi declared Palmer Home for Children as the network’s charity of choice and established the annual Radiothon to support the basic operational needs of the organization. Since its conception, this annual event has raised over 1.5 million dollars to help care for children in need. These funds directly impact the lives of every child and family in our care and help continue to allow Palmer Home to be a beacon of hope throughout Mississippi and beyond.
