Reporting to the Creative Director, the Marketing Strategist will be responsible for executing the digital marketing strategy for Palmer Home, focusing on increasing online engagement, driving digital campaigns, and improving the organization’s online presence. This role will focus heavily on leveraging digital platforms to promote Palmer Home’s mission, engage with current and potential donors, and expand brand awareness to various foster care communities.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Strategy: Create & implement digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, website, and other online channels (designed to increase donor engagement, drive traffic, raise funds online, or bring brand awareness) that align with broader marketing strategy Work with Creative Director to develop email marketing strategies (internal & external communications, events) that resonate with current and prospective donors. Analyze the effectiveness of email marketing and digital outreach efforts and recommend improvements. Develop and implement strategies for increasing website traffic, improving search engine rankings, and enhancing overall online presence. Optimize digital content for various platforms (social media, email, website) to maximize engagement and conversions.
  • Work with Creative Director to develop email marketing strategies (internal & external communications, events) that resonate with current and prospective donors.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of email marketing and digital outreach efforts and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for increasing website traffic, improving search engine rankings, and enhancing overall online presence.
  • Optimize digital content for various platforms (social media, email, website) to maximize engagement and conversions.
  • Social Media Management: Manage social media strategies, ensuring social media content aligns with overall marketing goals, while also fostering engagement with the community.
  • Work with the Engagement team to support event promotion through social media and emails
  • Manage all digital ads – social media, Google Ads, digital publications, etc.
  • SEO & Website Management: Oversee the ongoing optimization of the website, ensuring it is user-friendly, optimized for search engines, and updated regularly.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure website content aligns with digital marketing efforts and supports overall marketing objectives.
  • Leverage analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) to track site performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Set and monitor KPIs for digital marketing campaigns, including website traffic, social media engagement, and email performance as needed to improve ROI.
  • Provide regular reports to the Creative Director, offering insights on campaign performance and suggesting improvements based on data analysis to ensure that marketing efforts are meeting organizational goals
  • Content Development: Develop compelling digital content (including blog posts, landing pages, social media posts, and email newsletters) that supports existing marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure messaging is consistent with brand voice and organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field or minimum of 5 years of marketing, communications, or public relations leadership role.
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, decision making, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Able to work collectively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and collaboratively; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
  • A strategist who can anticipate and support the needs of internal audiences (business partners, enterprise leaders) and external audiences (donors, the public).
  • Experience in producing a variety of communications using print, electronic, social media as well as personal communications.
  • Prioritizes multiple expectations based on the organization(s) strategy and goals, providing focus and expectations for the team.
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to Christ and to living a Christian lifestyle, consistent with the mission of Palmer Home.
  • Must be in agreement with the Palmer Home for Children Statement of Christian Beliefs and demonstrate a strong commitment to Christ consistent with the mission of Palmer Home status as a non-profit religious organization.
