WCI Introduces Caregiver Resource At CAFO 2016

May 3, 2016

CAFO-Whole Child Initiative-Caregiver ResourceWhole Child Initiative, Palmer Home for Children’s comprehensive caregiver resource, has been tested within our own residential homes, through our Jonah’s Journey foster care program, and with residential care facilities in three countries. We look at children every day who are thriving because their caregivers, teachers and counselors work together to nourish bodies, souls and minds.

We are not alone in our work. Churches and organizations around the globe work together for orphan care, family preservation, adoption and foster care through the Christian Alliance For Orphans (CAFO).

In May 2016, over 2500 leaders, caregivers, ministers, and others dedicated to caring for vulnerable children will gather to discuss the best practices, provide resources, and learn from one another. What better place to launch Whole Child Initiative as the standard of care for hurting children throughout the world?

Rescuing and restoring children’s lives cannot happen with just one organization. We need you, our supporters and partners, to come alongside us to help spread the word about this resource. We’re giving you a first look at what we’re sharing at CAFO. Share it with the caregivers you know. And if you’re also headed to CAFO, stop by our display to hear first-hand how Whole Child Initiative is changing lives.
