At Palmer Home for Children, we believe every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. Overcoming the Odds
- Nationwide, only about half of youth raised in foster care end up finishing high school. Less than 5% graduate from a four-year college while only 2-6% typically complete a degree from a two-year college.
- Only 3% of young adults formerly in foster care graduate from college, compared to the overall national college graduation rate of 59%.
- Over 40% of school-aged children in foster care have educational difficulties.
