About the Valero Hope Works Program

Imagine the difference an opportunity to learn valuable life and career skills can make in the life of a child in need.

By providing practical life and vocational skills to the children in our care through hands-on learning experiences and exposure to a variety of skill-based activities, the Valero Hope Works program seeks to do just that.

Valuable Work Experience + Life Skills

The Valero Hope Works program teaches work and life skills needed for adulthood with a focus on enhancing independence, building self-esteem, mastering competency, and learning social-relational skills.

Opportunity + Preparedness

The Valero Hope Works program creates opportunities for youths to develop time management skills, punctuality, a good work ethic, interviewing skills, positive relational skills, and more – preparing them to launch into work outside of campus.

Because of you, their future is bright.

From full-time positions to volunteer roles, your service can make a difference for children and families who urgently need help.

How the Program Works

Children ages 12 and older assist our trained maintenance staff with tasks around campus that demonstrate important life skills, including: landscaping household cleaning, plumbing, home repair, vehicle repair, woodworking, and lawn equipment maintenance.
