Palmer Home for Children provides its services without charge to children who have no other viable placement options or means of support, all without regard to race or creed. In making admission decisions, we look chiefly at the severity of the child's need and our demonstrated ability to help. We do, however, give preference for admission to sibling groups and to children referred to us through a church contact.
Is Palmer's caring for my children contingent upon me (Parent, Family, Guardian) paying tuition or making financial provision for Palmer Home?
No. We do not require that you pay tuition or make a gift to Palmer Home in order for your children to be considered for admission. Nor will we seek to recover the cost of your children's care from you, your estate, or family members. Obviously, since we are supported entirely by voluntary gifts, we would welcome any provision you might choose to make to help offset Palmer's cost of care for your children. But there is no gift requirement. Our admission decisions are based upon the urgency of the need for care and our ability to help.
