KIDS SAY...EVERYTHING! (4)

Michael Bailey was nine years old and lived in Hutchinson Cottage.  At supper one night everyone at his table was taking turns telling when their birthday was.  Michael sat listening like he was in deep thought, and when it was his turn, he offered this:  "Yeah, and you know what else?  My birthday comes the same time every single year!"

Amanda Kirkley had been home, sick with a nasty cold.  After she woke from her nap she asked her housemom, "Mamaw, will you fix me mixed up eggs?"  Ms Polly, knowing that she was referring to scrambled eggs, said, "I sure will."  She did, and Amanda promptly woofed them all down.  Later in the day, Amanda was wanting more eggs, but obviously thought it might be too much to ask twice in one day.  So she tried this very creative approach:  "Mamaw, can you teach me RIGHT NOW, how to make mixed up eggs?"  It worked!

Miss Kaye, a housemom that has been with us for over 30 years and also our supply room supervisor, brought one of our children new underwear one day.  Brandon Butler, who had outgrown his old underwear, was very thankful and told her, "This is great, no more wedgies!"
